Ces étendards ont été créés en collaboration avec des écrivains tels Paul Ardenne, Noam Chomsky, Loïc Wacquant… Lors de l’événement Trafic Inter/nationale -organisé par les commissaires Nathalie de Blois et Mathieu Beauséjour et L’Écart, lieu d’art actuel- chaque drapeau a été fixé au toit d’une automobile pour qu’il soit en mouvement dans la ville de Rouyn-Noranda. Par surprise, ils s’offraient ainsi aux regards des passants. By mounting flags -printed and inscribed with portraits and commissioned sentences by authors such as Paul Ardenne, Noam Chomsky, Loïc Wacquant- on cars and parading them trough Rouyn Noranda streets, the gesture reached citizens in the context of their everyday activities and “underscored the pressing need for the free mouvement of ideas in public space.” (Bernard Schütze, / Traffic Paterns : Some Rearview Mirror Reflections on the Event TRAFIC – inter/nationale d’art actuel en Abitibi-Témiscamingue)
