SCULPTURE GÉOGRAPHIQUE (2016)

La géographie du monde de part sa complexité, son étendue, les formes des continents, des océans, des lacs, des cours d’eau et des multiples frontières offre un potentiel créatif qui n’a de limite que l’imagination.

Chaque traitement de territoire est une interprétation libre inspirée par un nombre variable de données et renseignements recueillis à son sujet.

En 2016 nous avons réalisé Sculpture géographique : une série de six sculptures de quatre pays et de deux villes : Canada, Congo, États-Unis, Israël, Manhattan et Venise. De nombreuses études ont aussi été réalisées

GEOGRAPHICAL SCULPTURE (2016)

The world’s geography because of its complexity, its extent, the shapes of continents, the oceans, the lakes, the rivers and the multiple boundaries, offers a creative potential that is limited only by the imagination.

Each treatment or territory is a free interpretation inspired by a variable number of data and information collected about it.

In 2016 we realized Geographical Sculpture: a series of six sculptures of four countries and two cities: Canada, Congo, United States, Israel, Manhattan and Venice. Numerous studies have also been carried out.

Manhattan, 2016. Stained glass thermoformed. Dimensions 120 x 30 x 10 cm.

Venezia Motore, 2017. Lime, white pine, red oak, black walnut, spanish cedar, cherry tree (as for
venetian gondola), propeller, clear coat, acrylic. Dimensions : 100 x 30 x 60 cm.

L’appel des enfants du Congo, 2016. Iroko wood, cell phones. Dimensions 120 x 60 x 8 cm (shovel only). This oversized wooden shovel of rare wood coming from the Congo is pierced by the geographical form of the country. A holed shovel and therefore use less to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo which is the main supplier of the necessary ore to the batteries of our cellular and laptop computers. Illegal mines where children work. Reality denounced by video images broadcast by one of the phones.
